Transportation Museum

Last Saturday, we had a family fun day. We slept in, got a late start, went to Taco Taco for breakfast (more on that later) and then planned to go to the Witte Museum to enjoy the Dinosaurs.  However, as we pulled up to turn into the parking lot, we saw there was a REALLY long line – apparently the Witte had been having record breaking crowds over the course of the week.  So, we drove up the hill, parked in a lot at Trinity and came up with a plan B…

The Texas Transportation Museum.  It was a bit cold and very windy, so we didn’t do much of the outdoor activities, but we did ride the train, and we did look at the antique cars and watch the model trains in the back building.  It was almost like a very miniature version of The Henry Ford Museum – which we are going to take our kids to one of these years…
